the waistcoat is not a new trend, in fact this garment has been on and off the trend list for years. initially associated with men's clothing, it made its way into women's wardrobes in the 70s. diane keaton's look in annie hall became an enduring style reference that has inspired many designers over the years.


in the 90s, the waistcoat reappeared in a more boho style. especially with kate moss, who inspired major trends like skinny scarves and military jackets.


in 2023, waistcoat are back on the wish list. in a minimalist style, with straight cut trousers and high waists, or even with basic jeans. our suggestions for this season are:
